Individual Filers - including employees, retirees, self-employed individuals, independent contractors, and gig workers
Due date to send W-2 and various 1099 forms: January 31st
File W-4 form with your employer to reclaim your exemption from withholding: February 18th
Tax return due: April 15th
Request an extension to file your tax return: April 15th
File your extended tax return: October 15th
Estimated Tax Payments: April 15th (1st quarter), June 16th (2nd quarter), September 15th (3rd quarter), and January 15th of the following year (4th quarter)
Required minimum retirement distribution for individuals who turned 73 the previous year: April 1st
Required minimum retirement distribution for individuals age 73 or older by the end of the year: December 31st
Businesses - Partnerships (including multi-member LLCs), C Corporations, and S Corporations
Tax returns due for Partnerships and S Corps: March 17th
Deadline for extended Partnerships and S Corps returns: September 15th
Tax returns due for C Corps: April 15th
Deadline for extended C Corps returns: October 15th
